The Collaboration
We are incredibly proud to announce our collaboration with Vans.
When we first met the Vans team one year ago, the connection was immediate and obvious. We instantly recognized a shared language: creativity, freedom, music, sunshine, and the joy of play. Where Vans expresses this spirit through skateboarding and surf culture, Lola James Harper lives it through basketball, music, travel, photography, and scent.
Different playgrounds, same energy. From this shared universe, a collaboration naturally took shape,
as the beginning of a long creative journey together.
Three Creations, One Shared Spirit
To start, we imagined three complementary creations that reflect who we are and what we love.
Vans Signature Candle
Together with Vans, we created a signature candle inspired by the brand’s Californian roots and its iconic founding year, 1966.
This scent translates the essence of Vans into fragrance, balancing two worlds: the city and the beach.Notes of pure wood evoke skateboard decks, while mineral, sun-heated asphalt recalls skateparks and urban playgrounds. These raw, dry notes meet the warmth of Monoi, tuberose, and the nostalgic sweetness of surfboard wax, transporting us straight to surf shops, ocean air, and endless summers.
A fragrance suspended between wood and wax, asphalt and waves, freedom and joy.
A Collector Fanzine & Limited-Edition Posters
At the heart of this collaboration is a collector fanzine, encapsulating over 20 years of photographs taken on the road by Lili Mekdachi and Rami Mekdachi.
The entire creation and graphic direction of the fanzine was led by Noé Mekdachi, who shaped it as a true object of memory.
From this fanzine, we selected eight photographs to become super-limited edition art posters, printed on photographic paper.
These posters, along with the fanzine and the candle, are now available at:
• Vans brand new Paris Flagship — Le Marais (now open)
• Vans London Flagship — Oxford Street (launching end of January)
