THANK YOU

TECHNIKART

French cultural magazine launched in 1991

Thank you, Technikart

We would like to warmly thank Technikart, the French art, fashion, and lifestyle magazine, for featuring our work and including us in such a beautiful selection of photographers.

Technikart shared five of our Tokyo–Kamakura photographs, captured last summer in Japan, and we are deeply grateful for this thoughtful spotlight and for the way the magazine celebrates photography, culture, and artistic journeys.

Thank you to Fabrice de Rohan Chabot editor and founder of  Technikart for the trust, the sensitivity, and for giving space to these moments of light and calm between Tokyo and Kamakura.

TOKYO – KAMAKURA

Photographs by Lili Mekdachi & Rami Mekdachi / Lola James Harper

“August in Tokyo and Kamakura is a rare moment. Heat and humidity slow everything down, wrapping the cities in a soft, moist calm, almost silent.

Within this languor, the two cities still vibrate, intense, dense, alive. When you look up, electric wires cut across the sky in perfect, taut black lines, like musical staves on which the light writes its notes. The sun’s touches slide from pink to orange, then to blue.

Wood, concrete, metal… the materials of Japan breathe strength and serenity.

Here, even movement feels calm. Cars, passersby, shadows—everything seems to be in its right place. Tokyo and Kamakura, two cities tuned to light,

where geometry becomes poetry, and silence, a melody.”
