We are proud and honored to announce a beautiful new collaboration between Lola James Harper and Jacques Cartier, the newly born high fashion brand created by our friend Willy Jacques Cartier.

Willy is a true artist — a gentleman, a model, a designer — and above all, a creator with a soul that carries the essence of three continents: Africa, Europe, and Asia. Born of Senegalese, French, and Vietnamese heritage, Willy’s new brand embraces and celebrates these rich origins, weaving together a stunning synthesis of three worlds, three cultures, and three earths.

When Willy invited us, as a family and as the Lola James Harper art project, to contribute to the early days of Jacques Cartier, we knew we wanted to create a scent that would encapsulate this profound, multifaceted identity. We composed a signature fragrance with deep wood, earthy textures, warm spices, and a mystical incense— a scent that feels rooted, expansive, and timeless.

This signature scent was unveiled at the grand opening show of Jacques Cartier wednesday June 18th, in Paris, alongside an original musical score written, composed, and performed by Lola James Harper

Since the very beginning, the founding family of Lola James Harper Rami, Noé and Lili Mekdachi has been deeply involved in the creative process alongside Willy—bringing scent, sound, and image to life to celebrate this powerful moment of legacy and rebirth.

Together, Willy Cartier and Rami Mekdachi created the Jacques Cartier Studio candle—a fragrance that encapsulates the spirit, roots, and artistic energy of Jacques Cartier.

At the same time, Rami Mekdachi and Noé Mekdachi composed and recorded the original score for the show, a cinematic piece titled “The Beginning of Everything.”

The cover artwork for this musical release features a photograph by Lili Mekdachi, chosen for its emotional depth and poetry.

This collaboration is more than a launch—it is a living artwork, shaped by friendship, family, and creative passion

Rami performed the piece live at the show, as the models walked among stunning creations—including Willy Cartier’s & Vincent Laine sculptural iron mirror and heavy metal couch—bringing together fashion, music, parfum and design in a seamless poetic flow.
